Kelly Albrecht
Licensed Mental Health Counselor
Kelly Albrecht is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Florida. Kelly received her B.A. in Psychology from the University of North Florida and her M.A. in Counseling from Regent University.
Kelly’s approach to counseling is compassionate, strength based, person centered and integrative (choosing therapy techniques specific for each person’s individual needs and personal circumstances). Kelly has experience working with people of all ages in individual, couples, group, and family therapy sessions with a focus on life transitions, perinatal mental health, grief and loss, anxiety and depression, trauma, and emotional regulation. Kelly has experience in elementary and middle school settings as well as mental health centers, Hospice for Children, Head Start, PACE Center for Girls, and cross-cultural experience in South Africa, Zambia, Mozambique, Kenya, Nepal, and China.
Kelly has completed Prepare-Enrich Certification (for couples, premarital and marriage counseling), Sozo Prayer Ministry Training for Mental Health Professionals, Green Cross Center for Trauma Studies Trainings (including Compassion Stress Management, Compassion Fatigue, Disaster Stress and Trauma, Grief and Loss, Treating Traumatized Families, Treating traumatized Children and Adolescents, Assessment and Treatment of PTSD, Psychological First Aid, Treating Sexual Trauma, and Treating Phobia and Anxiety with EMDR). Kelly also received trainings regarding Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Parent Management Training, Human Trafficking, Domestic Violence, and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
